With a jazz-infused score by Ellen Weiss and a provocative book by James Hindman, Being Audrey is an inspiring musical that combines different theatricalities for a breathtaking experience. Cheryl Stern stared in the central role, a woman whose obsession with Audrey Hepburn unexpectedly brings her face to face with the most difficult choice of her life. Mark took part in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s workshop of The Tin Pan Alley Rag, a new play by Mark Saltzman that presents a 1915 meeting between Scott Joplin and a very young Irving Berlin. The workshop was directed by Stafford Arima with choreography by Liza Genarro and musical direction by Michael Patrick Walker.

This holiday season Mark headed to St. Paul’s Ordway Theatre to play Phil Davis, the Danny Kaye role, in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. Mark was a part of the World Premiere company of this show four years ago playing featured roles in the ensemble and took over the role of Phil in 2005 in the San Francisco Company and repeated the role in 2006 at Detroit’s Fox Theatre. Based on the classic film of the same title, the show was again directed by Walter Bobbie with choreography by Randy Skinner and musical direction by Rob Berman. In the Fall of 2007 Mark headed out on the road to play the role of the bridegroom, Robert Martin, in the First National Tour of The Drowsy Chaperone. The tour, directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw with musical direction by Phil Reno, kicked off in Toronto, home of the show’s creator Bob Martin who reprised his role as Man in Chair for that city.
